Matteo Peirone, born in Savona, has a University Degree in Greek Ancient Literature.
He trained as a singer with Franca Mattiucci, Paolo Montarsolo and Renata Scotto. He won many Lyric Competitions: among these stand out "ASILICO" in Milano and "Verdi" in Parma.
He has already sang in the most important Opera Houses in Italy and abroad standing out as interpreter of the principal roles of "Basso Buffo" or "Brillante" and in other "Character roles".
He is regularly invited at Teatro alla Scala of Milan. He sang under the direction of R. Muti both at Scala Milano and at Ravenna Festival with Wiener Philarmoniker.
Very intense his activity abroad: Royal Opera House Covent Garden and Barbican Hall in London, Lincoln Center in New York, Opera Bastille and Theatre du Champs- Elysees in Paris, Amsterdam DNO, Opera du Rhin of Strasbourg, Montpellier, ABAO of Bilbao, Mestranza of Seville,Palau des arts of Valencia, Budapest, Staatsoper of Dresden,Hamburg Staatsoper, Opera of Frankfurt, Opera of Bonn, Palm Beach Opera House, Bunka Kaikan of Tokyo, Shanghai Opera House...
He has recorded for Decca the role of Sacrestano in Tosca conducted by Zubin Metha.

Matteo Peirone is also world known as one of the most impressive interpreter of the "Character roles" like Benoit and Alcindoro in Boheme, Sagrestano in Tosca, Antonio in Nozze di Figaro, Dottor Spinelloccio in Gianni Schicchi.
He has been the Sagrestano in Tosca all over the world: from the Scala Milano till the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, from Opera Bastille of Paris till Tokyo, from Palm Beach till Bilbao.
He has been Benoit and Alcindoro in Paris Bastille, Scala Milano, Torino, Genova, Sevilla, Valencia, Roma, Napoli, Tokyo, Shanghai,.....

Matteo Peirone made his debut in Salzburg Festival 2018 with Tosca, directed by Ch. Thielemann (Sagrestano). Always with Thielemann Matteo Peirone sung like Sagrestano in Semperoper Dresden.He made his debut in Edinburgh Festival in 2016 with Don Giovanni conducted by Ivan Fischer and with Boheme conducted by G. Noseda .Other important Boheme at DNO in Amsterdam, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Opera di Roma.
He is the founder and artistic director of the Noli Musica Festival.
